On the
Kirk Creek Trail
(Vicente Flats)

Bishop Peak Trail Work

Three of us headed out on a fogging morning on the Kirk Creek Trail
to Vicente Flat Camp for a leisurely lunch.

Off we go up several well graded switchbacks.

Entering the Ventana Wilderness Southern Boundary

Reaching a grove a redwoods, the sun pierces the air with interesting light patterns.

We have climbed out of the fog as we turn into Hare Canyon.
Chuck and Darlene are scouting a place for a morning snack.

Cone Peak at 5,100 feet towers above Hare Canyon.
The morning fog is slowly retreating from the canyon.

Cone Peak Ridge, what a view.

We enter gorgeous redwoods.

Cone Peak pops out again.

Entering Vicente Flats, Darlene looks for the log bridge.

Darlene and Chuck cross the log bridge over the creek.

Chuck is inspecting something?

Stone Ridge Trail Junction

Sunny Camping Spot.
We cleaned the fire pit of all Trash as tin cans don't really burn.

Time for lunch

An afternoon Siesta, (Chuck's doing a Jim?)

Heading home the Coastal Views greet us as we exit Hare Canyon.

A 11 mile round trip hike. Plenty to see and do along the way.

       The End!!!!!!!!
